Valerie Providenza (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She graduated from Boston College in 2010 with a Master's degree in Social Work.
Valerie has worked in a variety of mental health settings including outpatient clinics, primary care clinics, community mental health, an inpatient mental health hospital and a Veterans Administration hospital. Her areas of clinical interest and specialties include hoarding behaviors/problems with clutter, grief and loss, depression, life transitions, anxiety and dementia. She also enjoys working with individuals whose loved ones have Dementia/memory changes. Valerie is happy to be a provider who works with individuals suffering from Long Covid and LC-related symptoms/changes.
Valerie's work is person-centered and combines different approaches based on the needs of each client. Interventions may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Psychoeducation.
In her spare time, Valerie enjoys being out in the sun, participating in activities such as hiking, gardening and walking. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
