Mary Hudson, LCSW

Hello! My name is Mary Hudson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost a decade of experience working in community mental health, military and family life counseling, domestic violence services, integrated care, and refugee resettlement.

I received a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and, prior to working with BrightSpire Health, I was a clinician at a A Village For One, a local non-profit that specializes in providing services to exploited children.

I firmly believe everyone deserves a therapist that understands their experiences and creates an empathic, safe environment. To foster this warm environment I work to incorporate person-centered and trauma informed approaches to empower people to find inner strength, balance, and fulfillment. In particular, I utilize a variety of therapy modalities to include Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoeducation, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques.

I am especially passionate about helping individuals and couples process depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, relationship challenges, and grief.

When not working in this field, I enjoy yoga, playing volleyball, and getting outside in nature to walk my puppy, Doctor Jalapeño, with my spouse.
