Marita Allinson, LPC

I believe in the power of people to change and live their lives in healthier and more fulfilling ways. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have over 20 years experience as a therapist in a variety of settings including a culturally specific mental health program, a residential treatment center, outpatient clinics, a therapeutic school, and school-based mental health in elementary schools.

I employ a variety of approaches to help clients reach their goals including cognitive- behavioral principles, brief solution-focused techniques, person-centered and trauma-based therapies. I have also completed a collaborative for Child Parent Psychotherapy which helps young children and their parent(s) heal from trauma and establish and/or rebuild healthy attachment.

My specialties include treating depression, anxiety, and trauma (PTSD). I provide individual, family, and group therapy to help clients and their families reach their goals.
