I have been curious and fascinated by the ways people change, heal, and grow. In my own life and work with others, I have seen that even when the next step feels unclear, people often find more capacity for growth than they realize. Counseling can be a time to ask some simple and meaningful questions: What do I hope will be different? What helps me move toward that hope? What seems to get in the way? I would be glad to work with you to start answering those questions.

My journey actually started over three generations ago, with my family coming from Italy and Scotland. I was born in Chicago, Illinois, raised in Arizona, graduated from Arizona State University (Art) and Denver Seminary (MDiv in Counseling). I pastored churches for 23 years in the Midwest and on the East Coast, experiences that continue to shape my respect for people’s stories, values, relationships, and spiritual backgrounds.

For more than 16 years, I have worked in counseling settings that include community mental health for people navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodiversity, addiction, and domestic violence. I integrate training in Internal Family Systems (Levels 1 & 2), with Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, and Community Reinforcement and Family Training, for families affected by addiction. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III, and Master Addiction Counselor.
