Jenny Thom, LPC

I am a Licensed Therapist (LPC) in Oregon since 2021 and have been practicing since 2016. I have experience in addiction settings, integrated medical and hospital settings, agency and community-based crisis services, school-based settings, group and private practice.
I offer support with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, adjustment issues and life transitions/planned or unexpected, self-esteem issues, and relationship issues. I have a focused passion for working with sexual health-related concerns. As a certified sex therapist (CST) through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), I have several years of training and supervision for human sexuality matters. Some topics that I have helped people navigate are aging and sexuality, BDSM/kink, coming out/inviting in, culture/identity issues (personally, professionally, sexually), dating, divorce/recovery, infidelity, desire concerns, existential themes, fetish, gender exploration, monogamy and beyond, out of control sexual behavior, sexual traumas, sex education.

My style is warm, empathic, supportive, and affirming. My approach is relational and is strength-based and collaborative where I maintain a strong belief in people’s inherent ability to move toward positive growth while supporting the personal journey toward self-awareness. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing space where people can feel seen, heard, and supported.
Outside of work with clients, I enjoy continuous learning, nature trails, bird watching, knitting, music, dance, and adventuring with my family.
