Jazmin Otegui, LPC

I am a mental health counselor who is passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel seen, respected, and understood. I believe people already hold strengths within themselves, and I work with clients to help them recognize and build on those strengths in meaningful ways.

I am especially interested in working with youth and young adults who may feel overlooked or in need of a consistent, supportive adult in their lives. I strive to be someone who listens without judgment and helps clients feel safe showing up as they are. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, and I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused strategies. I aim to support clients in understanding their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also helping them build practical tools for daily life.

I practice with cultural humility and a commitment to cultural responsiveness, recognizing the importance of each client’s identity, background, and lived experience. I support clients navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem concerns, identity development, relationship challenges, and life transitions, with the goal of helping them feel supported and empowered in their growth.

Outside of work, I value time with my family and the simple things that help me recharge, like reading, traveling, listening to podcasts, and walking my dog, Penny. I was born in Argentina, grew up in Los Angeles, and now live in Portland. I’m also a big soccer fan (especially Messi) and enjoy fashion.

CHOOSE YOU.
