Jamie Watson, LPC

I am a licensed mental health therapist in Oregon and Washington. I specialize in working with adults with eating disorders, disordered eating, and negative body image, providing individual and group therapy. I am experienced in working with individuals struggling with suicidal ideation, grief, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, women's issues, postpartum, parenting, and life transitions.

My previous work experience is in community mental health, where I worked with the underinsured and homeless populations, providing individual therapy and facilitating a grief and loss group. As the therapist at a family homeless shelter, I worked extensively with single parents and individuals with substance use disorders. I believe in building a strong rapport with my clients by using warmth, humor, and empathy. I work collaboratively with clients to identify and ensure their needs are being met.

My goal is to help others discover their strengths, learn effective coping skills, and find joy and meaning in their life. I work from a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, and Strengths Based approach. I earned an Eating Disorder Certificate in 2023, from Lewis & Clark College. I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019, from George Fox University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Behavioral Studies in 2016, from George Fox University.
