What inspired Dan to become a therapist?
Seeing loved one's struggle with accessing mental health support and often struggle with finding a meaningful experience.
How does Dan tailor his work to meet each client’s unique needs?
While there is value in structure, I think it's important to avoid a cookie cutter approach and meet a client where they are. Listening to a client's story, hearing their values and respecting their beliefs creates a more meaningful therapeutic experience.
What does Dan find most rewarding about his work?
The opportunity to offer hope, laughter, healing and play a role in clients finding their own inner strength.
How does Dan support clients from diverse backgrounds?
Avoiding assumptions and inviting a client to share their unique stories about their identity, culture and beliefs.
